Office Assistant

Eliza Bryant Village is recruiting an experienced Office Assistant. Working a 24-hour work week, the ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic team member who has the ability to follow through on assignments, pay close attention to detail and work well with people. Must be able to outline, organize and establish priorities for work and maintain productivity. This individual must have good communication, organizational and time-management skills. This candidate will be a highly motivated individual who will proactively work to maintain a positive and efficient work environment.


The Office Assistant will report directly to the Director of Housing and will work collaboratively with the HUD Project 202 Independent Senior Housing team. The ideal candidate will support the Housing team by completing the following job responsibilities:

  • Organizational and clerical support with a detailed, systematic understanding of office management procedures
  • Maintains office operations by receiving tenant rents, and tenant work order requests, customer communications; collecting and mailing correspondence; copying and filing information.
  • Maintains supplies by checking stock to determine inventory levels; anticipating requirements; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt; stocking items and delivering supplies to work stations.
  • Serves as receptionist; answering questions; forwarding messages; confirming the completion of tenant work orders and keeping tenants informed of work order status, should there be any delays in service.
  • Maintains office schedule by picking up and delivering items as needed.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
  • Enhances Eliza Bryant Village’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Office Assistant Qualifications / Skills:
  • Basic office skills, including filing
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Microsoft Office software skills, including knowledge of OneSite, Yardi, Elite or other property management software
  • Scheduling and meeting planning
  • Telephone Skills
  • Typing and word processing skills
  • Documentation skills
  • Dependability and professionalism
  • Attention to detail
  • Administrative writing and reporting skills
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • High School Diploma; an Associates Degree is a plus
  • Driver’s license
  • Two to five years of office assistant experience

Salary: $13/hour
